1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your terminal equipment (PC, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. They make it possible to recognise your device on a subsequent visit and to store certain settings. Cookies do not cause any damage to your terminal equipment and do not contain viruses or other malicious software.
2. Controller
The controller responsible for the processing of cookies described below is:
DARC Management UG (haftungsbeschränkt) Gewerbestr. 37a 58285 Gevelsberg Germany Email: [email protected]
Further information can be found in our Imprint and in our Privacy Policy.
3. Which cookies does DARION-AI use?
DARION-AI uses technically necessary and functional cookies. For audience measurement we additionally use Umami, a privacy-friendly, self-hosted (EU) analytics solution. Umami operates entirely without cookies, sets no cookies, uses no cross-device identifiers and stores no personal data. No third-party marketing or retargeting services are used.

4. Legal basis
Technically necessary cookies are used on the basis of Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, formerly TKG). They are strictly necessary for the operation of the platform and do not require separate consent.
Functional cookies serve exclusively to store your user settings (language, theme, layout preference). They store no personal data going beyond the operation of the app and are therefore likewise set on the basis of Section 25(2) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in user-friendly operation).
Audience measurement with Umami: Umami operates without cookies and does not access information on your terminal equipment; consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG is therefore not required. The legal basis for processing the anonymous usage data is our legitimate interest in data-minimising audience measurement pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Consent and withdrawal
On your first visit, our consent management tool CCM19 (Papoo Software & Media GmbH) asks for your consent. Without your consent, no services requiring consent are loaded; refusing is just as easy as agreeing (no pre-ticked box, no tracking without a click).
You may withdraw or adjust your consent at any time with effect for the future by reopening the CCM19 cookie settings icon. Should we integrate further services requiring consent in future (for example third-party marketing or retargeting services), we will update this Cookie Policy accordingly.
6. Managing and deleting cookies in your browser
You can view, block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Please note that disabling technically necessary cookies may restrict or entirely prevent the functioning of DARION-AI (for example, signing in is not possible without a session cookie).
Guidance for common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
7. Changes to this policy
We reserve the right to amend this Cookie Policy in the event of technical changes to the platform or changes in the legal situation. The date of the most recent update is stated above. In the event of material changes giving rise to a consent requirement, registered users will be informed separately.
